Dewey is often known as the party town of the coastal Delaware beach towns...and I’d have to agree. The town is super quaint and provides a fun atmosphere for a younger 21-30+ something crowd, although its convenient location to nearby Rehoboth makes it a family friendly option as well.
The town offers some great sand and nearby bars to hang out at. The close proximity to beach and bay set this town apart from others in the area which makes Dewey a special space. In fact, Dewey is one mile long and two blocks wide. You can spend the day out at the beach working on your tan and the evening after dinner you can take a kayak out on the bay for a leisurely paddle.
